End of the Month : May Photo Post

In May, my parents came out to visit me.  I took them to see the Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon. It was a warm May day when we went, the second day they were there. I also took them to a palace in Seoul. For the post on their visit check out this link http://studygurl.blogspot.kr/2012/10/mom-and-dads-visit-may-5-14.html.

At the Trick Eye Museum in Hongdae. It was a lot of fun and I got some great shots of my parents.

In the middle of May, Becca, my old coworker, left us and returned home. It was a sad night saying goodbyes. We miss her lots but we just sent her a carepackage!(In November) of Korean goodies. Hope you get it soon Becca!

On May 19th and 20th was the Lotus Lantern Parade and Festival, which was the weekend before Buddha's Birthday. It was a lot of fun seeing all of the lanterns and temples being represented in the parade. I went Saturday to the parade, took around 400 photos, and then went the next day for the Festival. A lot happened at the Parade, lots of dancing, tons of lanterns and flowers given and pictures being taken of us by people in the parade. Bryan was even interviewed! It was awesome!

The last weekend of May I spent in Japan with Todd, my LDR for the past four years!Todd and I stared dating in my junior year of college, his last semester, and we have been together for almost four years. He is now in the Marines and stationed in Japan. I went to visit him since it had almost been a year since we had seen each other and he had just been stationed in Iwakuni. I went to Myajima, an island where a bunch of deer are, as well as Kintai Bridge in Iwakuni. I had such a great visit seeing him. It has been really hard being away from each other, but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end. I only spent four days there, and Japan is such a beautiful country. I hope to visit and see more too.

End of the Month : April Photo Post

What I did : Gyeongi Trip, Day trip Hike in the rain, Day in the Park
April was much more laid back after all the trips I had taken in March. Here are a few photos from the Gyeongi trip I didn't include in the last post, a small day trip hike in Chungju. Then at the end of the month we did a nice little day in the park. It was a gorgeous day :)

The day hike to Chunju was my fifth trip in a row with Seoul Hiking Group. The day was rainy and a bit cold for a spring day. It was suppose to be a sunny but the day before it started raining and it carried on for the whole weekend. I decided to not go on a hike and took a boat ride around the river in the area. It was a bit chilly on the boat but there was karaoke on the boat which was fun. After the trip a group of us went out with Warren, the man who plans the trips. It was fun and we got some awesome food in Hondae.

At the end of the month, it was warm weather and just a gorgeous day to be outside and enjoying life! I went out with Mckenna, Becca, and a bunch of others to the Olympic Stadium Park. We had some soju and wine in the park with other snacks. Mckenna's friend, Shawn, brought the dog with him to the park you see in the photos.

We went out afterwards as well and we were all a bit chilly!

THANKYOU TO ALL whose photos I am also using here. Thank you Bryan, Brittany, and Jiheon!
